April 2017

We started boiling crawfish at the Breaux Mart in Chalmette. Breaux Mart decided our last day boiling for the supermarket would be on Mother's Day of 2017. Leading up to that day, Tony took a few days driving to different docks to find anyone who would supply him crawfish. He stumbled across a few docks that were willing to give him a chance.

May 2017 - July 2018

Tony bought a small, enclosed trailer and we started to sell live sacks in the Rouses parking lot (Clearview on raining days). We also started boiling at some bars & breweries (Bulldog Uptown on Magazine, Bulldog on Canal, Miel Brewery & Taproom, and a few other places). Although we loved (and still love) our retail sales, Tony's passion was to be a wholesale distributor. During this time Tony blew up Crawfish Facebook Groups trying to find wholesale customers.

December 2018

We were able to get a warehouse at the end of Veterans (16 Veterans Unit B Kenner, LA 70062). Tony built a walk-in cooler and purchased an old news station box truck that we transformed into a refrigerated truck.

February 2019 - July 2021

Tony stayed consistent on Facebook and even started calling seafood markets/restaurants (around the area and even out of state) trying to find more and more wholesale customers. Starting in 2020, we slowly started to sell bulk shrimp (fresh) & hamper of live crabs (25lbs & 50lbs hampers). By the end of 2020, we started to outgrow the warehouse and the box truck. We replaced our enclosed trailer with vans & another refrigerated box truck. While searching for a bigger warehouse, one of our wholesale customers decided to shut down and asked us to take over. Even though we never thought about opening a seafood market, we couldn't pass up the opportunity.

January 2022

Scramuzza's Seafood Market (2106 Idaho Ave Kenner, LA 70062) was established. Both our warehouse and seafood market is located in Kenner. We wouldn't be here today without all our amazing & loyal customers
